Clay Sculpture Technical Details

I hand-build unique clay sculptures of bizarre animals and even weirder people, perfect for showcasing in an art gallery. Each of my hand-built ceramics is carefully bisque fired to cone 08 (1728°F) and then glazed at cone 5/6 (2232°F) in an electric kiln. 

My raku sculptures undergo bisque firing to cone 08 and raku firing to cone 06 (1828°F). 

All faces start as a cylinder and are crafted from the bottom up. For instance, turtles often feature human hands and feet, while kangaroos might sport a cat joey. 

To distinguish between a snake and an earthworm: 

Earthworms have two nostrils, whereas snakes possess a mouth or eyes, occasionally both. Some birds are adorned with dinosaur spines, others flaunt scaly feathers, and some have fabulously long beaks. 

One of my distinctive sculptures includes snakes for hair, an earthworm mustache, snakes nestled in the ears, ladybugs for eyes, and a bird for a nose!
